Lara Flynn Boyle is set to join the cast of NBC's drama "Las Vegas" in the fall, playing the flamboyant new owner of the Montecito Casino.
"Las Vegas," which will be entering its third season, stars James Caan as the head of the casino's surveillance team, and Josh Duhamel as his protege. Molly Sims, Nikki Cox, James Lesure and Vanessa Marcil round out the cast.
"Las Vegas" will put food on the table every week, says Variety, with the "Men in Black 2" and "Wayne's World" star playing the new owner of the Montecito Casino. Boyle is best known for her roles as Assistant District Attorney Helen Gamble on ABC's "The Practice" and as Donna Hayward on ABC's "Twin Peaks."
No doubt spurred on by the crash of her film career of late, one-time 'Twin Peaks' resident Lara Flynn Boyle (She was the first Donna, before Moira Kelly stole her skirt and took on the role for "Twin Peaks : Fire Walk With Me") is returning to series Television.
"Obviously, we're excited to have someone with the style and panache of Lara Flynn Boyle as we head into a season of transition for 'Las Vegas,' " said Gary Scott Thompson, Las Vegas creator/executive producer. "She will add even more story potential and star power to what is already a super-charged cast playing against the backdrop of a dynamic city."
The series returns for its third season this Fall.
